Let us tell you that New Zealand had scored 235 runs in its first innings after losing all the wickets. On behalf of the team, Will Young played an inning of 71 runs with the help of four fours and two sixes while Daryl Mitchell contributed 82 runs. However, apart from these two batsmen, no other player could score big for New Zealand. Captain Tom Latham played an innings of 28 runs while Glenn Phillips scored 17 runs. Apart from these four batsmen, no other player could cross the 10-run mark.
On behalf of Team India, Washington Sundar and Ravindra Jadeja completely destroyed New Zealand’s batting lineup with lethal bowling. While on one hand Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets in this match, on the other hand information bowler Washington Sundar took four wickets.
In reply, Team India was all out for 263 runs in its first innings. From the host side, the best player Shubhman Gill scored 90 runs while Rishabh Pant played an aggressive inning of 60 runs.
