The first test match between India and New Zealand will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The Indian team currently has to host New Zealand in a three-match home Test series. So the first match of this series will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from 16th October.
However, before the start of this match, the New Zealand cricket team has suffered a big setback. Let us tell you that before the first match, a bowler of the Kiwi team has been ruled out of the series due to injury.
New Zealand got a big blow
Let us tell you that from the first match to be held in Bengaluru, New Zealand team’s fast bowler Ben Sears has been ruled out not only from this Test match but also from the entire series due to a knee injury. So before this, Kane Williamson is joining the team late. In such a situation, injury to this bowler can increase New Zealand’s problems.
On the other hand, as a replacement for Ben Sears, the New Zealand Cricket Board has added uncapped bowler Jacob Duffy from Otago Volts to the team. Jacob has taken 299 wickets in first class cricket, while he has made his debut in white ball cricket for the Kiwi team. However, he has not yet made his debut in the red ball format.
Regarding Ben Sears’ injury, New Zealand cricket team head coach Gary Stead said in an official statement – We are obviously disappointed for Ben who made a strong start to his Test career during the domestic summer and provided a real pace option. It remains to be seen how long we will be without him, but we hope his full recovery period will be short.
