In this match, Washington Sundar bowled very well for Team India and took 11 wickets. Let us tell you that Washington Sundar returned to international Test cricket after almost 3 years and he won the hearts of all the fans with his tremendous performance.

The spinners of both the teams bowled very well on the Pune pitch. For New Zealand, Mitchell Santner took 13 wickets, Ravichandran Ashwin took 5 wickets while Jadeja took three wickets. After the end of the second test, Indian team captain Rohit Sharma made a big statement about these two bowlers.

According to The Daily Star, after the second test, Rohit Sharma said, ‘There are a lot of expectations from these two players. In every match that these players play, it is expected from them that they take wickets and play an important role in helping their team win the match. I don’t think this is correct. It is the responsibility of all of us players to make our team win the test. It is not just about two players. We all know that both these players have always performed very well in all formats but now the other players will also have to fulfill their responsibilities well.

Both these players have played a lot of cricket and have also played an important role in the team’s victory: Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma further said, ‘Both these players have played a lot of cricket and the performance of both these players was of high level in the 18 consecutive series we won at home. Sometimes a player is allowed to play poorly. It will not happen every time that a player is performing well for your team.

The third and final Test between Team India and New Zealand is starting from November 1 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Even though Team India has not been able to register victory in the first two tests, they would like to perform brilliantly in the last match. Ravichandran Ashwin and Jadeja would also like to leave their mark in the Wankhede Test.

It is noteworthy that the first match of the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series between India and Australia (IND vs AUS) will be played at the Optus Stadium in Perth from Friday, November 22. However, in this series, the Indian cricket team is going to face Australia after suffering defeat in the three-match home Test series against New Zealand. Before this series, India also had to face defeat in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. So, after such performance, if some media reports are to be believed, BCCI has started discussing with senior players about their future. Apart from this, this series will be the litmus test for head coach Gautam Gambhir, because till now Team India has not been able to perform as expected under the coaching of Gambhir. If Team India’s performance is not good in this series, then the management can also think about Gambhir’s future. Well, due to the absence of some players from Team India in this match, young players may get a chance to debut. It is noteworthy that due to the birth of his second child, captain Rohit Sharma will not be able to play in this match. Whereas Shubman Gill, who got injured while fielding in the practice session, is out of this match. If sources are to be believed, due to his bowling ability, the management can include Nitish Kumar Reddy in the playing eleven, while due to the help of fast bowlers provided by the pitch, 22 year old young Harshit Rana may also get a chance to play. India’s probable XI against Australia for the first BGT Test Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Dhruv Jurel, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah (c), Mohammed Siraj.
