The New Zealand Cricket Board issued a media release on Tuesday, October 22, informing that Kane Williamson is still undergoing rehab for a groin strain. Williamson was injured during the Test series against Sri Lanka. Due to this injury, he had to miss the Test match played in Bengaluru, as he was in recovery mode.
He remained in New Zealand to work on his recovery and is now out of the second Test and will remain in New Zealand during this period as well. The board can take a decision regarding him next week before the last Test match.
