Former veteran all-rounder Irfan Pathan congratulated the Kiwi team and urged the senior players to take responsibility.
The Indian cricket team had to face defeat by 113 runs in the second test match against New Zealand. Team India was all out for 245 runs while chasing the target of 359 runs on the third day of the game. New Zealand has taken a 2-0 lead and captured the series. Let us tell you, New Zealand ended the Indian team’s reign at home after 4331 days.
Team India had not lost a single Test series at home for the last 12 years. The team’s last Test series defeat at home was against England in 2012. Poor batting was seen by the Indian team in both the test matches against New Zealand. The team has excellent batsmen who play spin, but they are badly trapped in the spin of Mitchell Santner. Santner took 13 wickets in the Pune Test.
After India’s humiliating defeat, former legendary all-rounder Irfan Pathan congratulated the Kiwis and urged the senior players to take responsibility.

Disappointing performance of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli
Team India’s veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli both were out against Mitchell Santner in both the innings of the second test. In the Pune Test, Rohit scored 62 runs at an average of 15.50 and Kohli scored 88 runs at an average of 22. On the other hand, R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja could not do anything amazing with the ball. Both the spinners took 6 wickets in four innings at an average of 43.50 and 37.50 respectively.
