South Africa’s women’s cricket team is currently on an Indian tour. The last match of the three-match T20 series on this tour was played on 9 July at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Former Indian player Reema Malhotra was seen praising the excellent performance of Indian fast bowler Pooja Vastrakar in this match.

Let us tell you that in this third T20 match, Vastrakar took 4 big wickets giving only 13 runs in 3.1 overs. Due to this performance of Pooja, the South African team batting first was reduced to just 84 runs in 17.1 overs.

Reema Malhotra praised Pooja Vastrakar

Initially she was struggling a bit with injuries, but now a new Pooja Vastrakar is being seen. She has gained experience and has worked a lot on her fitness, which is clearly visible.

Reema further said- If we talk about bowling, if the bowler knows what length to hit on a particular wicket, then you can cause headaches for the batsmen and I think this is what was seen today. We saw a change in speed, they bowled length balls, and when you bowl a higher percentage of good balls, your control will look better, and this was seen in the bowling of Pooja Vastrakar.

On the other hand, after winning this match, the Indian cricket team ended the three-match T20 series at 1-1. Pooja was awarded the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards respectively for her excellent performance during the series.
