Host team India started the innings at 525/4 at the end of the first day, and Harmanpreet Kaur (42*) and Richa Ghosh (43*) started the innings. Both of them scored half-centuries and took India’s score past 600. Kaur played a brilliant innings of 69 runs while Ghosh played a brilliant innings of 86 runs.
So today, on the second day of the game, history was created by the Indian team by scoring 576 runs. India declared their first innings at 603 for 6 after 115.1 overs and invited South Africa to bat. India got their first wicket very soon when captain Laura Wolvaardt was trapped lbw by Sneh Rana for 20 runs and then opener Anneke Bosch was caught by Deepti Sharma, once again off Sneh Rana, for 39 runs.
However, after this Sune Luus and Marizanne Kapp took charge of the team by making a partnership of 93 runs for the third wicket. Luus was out LBW against Deepti Sharma after scoring 65 runs, then Sneha Rana once again got Delmi Tucker caught by Richa Ghosh without opening the account.
At the end of the day, South Africa has scored 236 runs for the loss of 4 wickets after 72 overs in the first innings. Marizanne Kapp is currently at the crease with 69* and Nadine de Klerk with 27* runs, and they are still trailing India by 367 runs. So from India’s side, Sneh Rana has got 3 wickets and Deepti Sharma has got 1 wicket
