IND-W vs SA-W, 3rd ODII: The last match of the three-match ODI series between India Women and South Africa Women was played on 23 June at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 215 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply, India chased the target in just 40.4 overs and won by 6 wickets. After this victory, the team has won the three-match ODI series 3-0.

IND-W vs SA-W: Captain Laura Wolvaardt played a brilliant innings for South Africa

Batting first against India, South Africa women’s team got a great start. Laura Wolvaardt and Tajmin Brits shared a 102-run partnership for the first wicket. Captain Laura Wolvaardt scored 61 runs in 57 balls with the help of 7 fours. She was out in the 20th over against Arundhati Reddy. Tajmin Brits, on the other hand, was run out by Shreyanka Patil in the 21st over after scoring 38 runs in 66 balls.

After the dismissal of these two batsmen, no other big partnership was seen. Nadine de Klerk scored 26 and Mieke de Ridder scored an unbeaten 26. For India, Anrudati Reddy and Deepti Sharma took 2-2 wickets each. Shreyanka Patil and Pooja Vastrakar took 1-1 wickets each.

Smriti Mandhana missed the century

IND-W vs SA-W: While chasing the target, India suffered the first setback in the 12th over. Shefali Verma (25) lost her wicket against Tumi Sekhukhune. Priya Punia and Smriti Mandhana then shared a 62-run partnership for the second wicket. Priya Punia scored 28 runs in 40 balls. Smriti Mandhana still had a chance to score another century today, but she was dismissed in the 31st over. Nonkululeko became Mlaba’s victim.

Smriti scored 90 runs in 83 balls with the help of 11 fours. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 42 runs in 48 balls. Jemima Rodriguez scored 19 runs and Richa Ghosh played an unbeaten innings of 9 runs to give the team victory. For South Africa Ayabonga Khaka, Tumi Sekhukhune and Nonkululeko Mlaba took 1 wicket each.
