IND-W vs SA-W: The South African women’s team is currently on a tour of India and a three-match ODI series is being played. In the first match of this series, India won a big victory against South Africa. Now the second match is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
In the second ODI, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. In this match too, India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhan and captain Harmanpreet Kaur batted brilliantly.
Smriti Mandhana scored 136 runs while Harmanpreet Kaur played an unbeaten innings of 103 runs. The Indian women’s team scored 325 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 50 overs and gave the South Africa women’s team a target of 326 runs.

In the 49th over, Team India was at 309 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur was present at the crease with Richa Ghosh (24 runs 12 balls) after scoring 88 runs in 83 balls.
In the 50th over, South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba came to complete the over. On her first ball, Richa Ghosh took a single and gave the strike to Harmanpreet Kaur. Harmanpreet tried to move forward and hit a shot on the second ball but she missed, however, the wicketkeeper made a big blunder and failed to stump.
Then what, Harmanpreet Kaur got a lifeline and she hit a four on the very next ball, then a six on the next ball and then a four on the 5th ball to complete her century. Harmanpreet Kaur hit 9 fours and 3 sixes in her unbeaten innings and scored 103 runs.

For India, Smriti Mandhana scored 136 runs in 120 balls, Shefali Verma scored 20 runs in 38 balls, Dayalan Hemalatha scored 24 runs in 41 balls, Harmanpreet scored 103 not out and Richa Ghosh scored an unbeaten inning of 25 runs in 13 balls and took the team to a score of 325. For South Africa, Nonkululeko Mlaba took 2 wickets and Masabata Klaas took 1 wicket.
