This year, Team India performed brilliantly in T-20 cricket, they ended their ICC trophy drought by winning the T-20 World Cup 2024 this year. In the third T20 against South Africa, India batted first and scored 219 runs. This marked India’s eighth score of over 200 in T20 matches in 2024. This is the highest 200+ score made by any team in a calendar year. This is a new world record, no team has been able to do this before.

Captain Suryakumar Yadav could score only one run in 4 balls. Hardik Pandya was out after scoring 18 runs. Rinku could score only 8 runs in 13 balls. Ramandeep was out after scoring 15 runs in 6 balls. In the first match, India won by 61 runs, while in the second match, South Africa made a spectacular comeback and won the match by 3 wickets.

The South African team, which came out to chase the target of 220 runs, had a good start. There was a partnership of 27 runs for the first wicket between Reeza and Ryan. Rickelton was out after scoring 20 runs in 15 balls. Riza scored 21 runs in 13 balls. Tristan Stubbs was out after scoring 12 runs in 12 balls. Aiden Markram contributed 29 runs in 18 balls.

David Miller was out after scoring 18 runs in 18 balls. Heinrich Klaasen scored 41 runs in 22 balls. Marco Yansen was out after playing a stormy innings of 54 runs in 17 balls. Gerald returned unbeaten after scoring two runs and Andile 5 runs.

It is noteworthy that during IPL 2024, Deshpande was one of the important fast bowlers of the CSK camp. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad handed the ball to Deshpande several times in the last overs and he remained true to his captain’s decision. In the last season of IPL, Tushar took 17 wickets in 13 matches played for five-time champion CSK, while Tushar played an important role in making Chennai the champion in the year 2023. This season, Tushar had taken 23 wickets in 16 matches played.
