India defeated Afghanistan in a one-sided match, Suryakumar and Bumrah played an important role in their team’s victory


Today i.e. on 20th June, in the best match of ICC T20 World Cup 2024, India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs.

In the best match of ICC T20 World Cup 2024 played today i.e. on 20th June, India defeated Afghanistan by 47 runs. In this match, all the players from the Indian team performed very well and played an important role in their team’s victory. Afghanistan failed to show a good performance.

Batting first, India scored 181 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. For India, the brilliant batsman Suryakumar Yadav batted brilliantly and played a match-winning innings of 53 runs in 28 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav did not spare any bowler of Afghanistan and hit hard against everyone.

Apart from Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya contributed 32 runs while Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring 24 runs. Rishabh Pant scored 20 runs while Akshar Patel scored 12 runs. Rohit Sharma once again failed to play a big innings and returned to the pavilion after scoring 8 runs.

For Afghanistan, captain Rashid Khan took three wickets for 26 runs in four overs while Fazalhaq Farooqi took three wickets for 33 runs in four overs. Naveen-ul-Haq took one wicket.

Indian bowlers showed amazing performance

Afghanistan team came out to chase the target and was all out on 134 runs. Azmatullah Omarzai played an innings of 26 runs for the team. He was the highest run scorer from his team in this match. Najibullah Zadran contributed 19 runs while Mohammad Nabi was out after scoring 14 runs. R. Gurbaz scored 11 runs.

All the bowlers from India bowled very well. Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets for seven runs in four overs while Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 36 runs in four overs. Kuldeep Yadav took two wickets while Akshar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja took 1-1 wickets.

Edwards has violated Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct. Including showing disagreement with an umpire’s decision during an international match and Article 2.2 deals with the misuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match. Edwards committed this violation in the third T20 match against Oman last week. The first incident in the match occurred when Edwards showed his bat to the umpire after being given out LBW. The second incident occurred when he threw his bat and gloves on the field while returning to his team’s dressing room. For these violations, Edwards was fined 10% of his match fee and given two demerit points, which were added to his disciplinary record.
