When Jasprit Bumrah was asked what he thinks about the short time before the final clash in the T20 World Cup 2024, let’s know what he said.
In this year’s T20 World Cup, the final match is going to be played between two strong teams who have not lost a single match, i.e. India and South Africa. India reached the final by defeating England in the semi-finals, while South Africa defeated Afghanistan in the semi-finals and reached the final for the first time in the history of the tournament.
The final match between India and South Africa will be played on Saturday 29 June. This match will start at 8 pm Indian time in Barbados. The Indian team led by Rohit Sharma will enter the field with the intention of ending the 11-year drought. Team India has failed to win any ICC tournament for nearly 11 years. At the same time, the South African team has a chance to win the ICC trophy for the first time.
India got time to prepare just 24 hours
Let us tell you that after finishing the rain-interrupted match against England, India went straight to Barbados and decided to cancel their training before the final of the tournament as they had just 24 hours in which they had to rest and prepare themselves mentally.
In such a situation, when India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was asked about what he thinks about the short time before the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024, let us know what statement he gave.
Jasprit Bumrah said- “This is a blessing”
Speaking to the ICC ahead of the final against South Africa, Bumrah said that playing the final of the tournament in a short time could prove to be a boon for India. Ahead of the final match, Bumrah said that the quick turnaround could prevent India from thinking too much before the final match.
“Sometimes it’s a good thing that you don’t have time to overplan or confuse yourself. All you know is, take the flight, go there, relax, recover and stop thinking.”
Overall, India pacer Jasprit Bumrah believes that the short time between the semi-finals and the final of the T20 World Cup final could prove to be a boon. He believes it will help India rest and recover instead of complicating things.
