Yashasvi Jaiswal played an unbeaten innings of 93 runs in 53 balls
The fourth T20 match was played between India and Zimbabwe at Harare Cricket Stadium, where Shubman Gill and company won by 10 wickets. With this, the visiting team has won the series by taking a 3-1 lead. Batting first, Zimbabwe set a target of 153 runs in front of India, which the Men in Blue achieved easily thanks to the brilliant innings of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill.
In this match, Team India won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, the decision did not prove to be right and Zimbabwe’s openers Madhevere and Marumani added 63 runs for the first wicket. Both were out after scoring 25 and 32 runs respectively. After this, only captain Sikandar Raza could score some runs among the subsequent batsmen.
He played a brilliant innings of 46 runs in 28 balls with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. In this way, Zimbabwe’s team scored 152 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Khalil Ahmed took the maximum of 2 wickets from India’s side.
Superb batting by the opening pair
Chasing the target of 153 runs, the Indian team displayed excellent batting. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill batted brilliantly and made a century partnership for the first wicket and ensured the team’s victory.
Both batsmen remained unbeaten till the end and India won the match by scoring 156 runs in 15.2 overs without losing any wicket. Jaiswal played an unbeaten innings of 93 runs in 53 balls, which included 13 fours and 2 sixes. Gill scored an unbeaten 58 runs in 39 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes.
With this win, India has taken a 3-1 lead in the five-match T20 series. The last and fifth match of the series will be played in Harare tomorrow on 14th July.
