“Indian team is thinking of taking him for BGT” – former veteran cricketer said about Mayank Yadav

The batsmen dominated the recently concluded T20I series between India and Bangladesh. In this entire series, Indian batsmen scored a lot of runs against Bangladeshi bowlers. However, Bangladeshi batsmen could not score runs against fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who got a chance to debut at the beginning of the series. Although he took only four wickets in three matches, he constantly troubled everyone with his pace bowling.

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra recently told how the think tank of the Indian team did not delay in giving match time to Mayank Yadav. This decision of the team management proved to be right in the end.

Aakash Chopra gave a big statement regarding Mayank Yadav

In a video on his official YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “When we are talking about the quest of this series, we need to talk about Mayank Yadav. He has been fast tracked. He has hardly played any first class matches and came straight into the Indian team. He had recently returned from injury. He didn’t play any competitive cricket and suddenly he was playing for India.”

The former batsman further said, “That is definitely one of the big positives because he is also part of the traveling reserves. I think the Indian team is thinking of taking him for BGT, at least to keep him with the team. However, I think it might be a bit early because the exposure to first-class cricket hasn’t come yet, sometimes, you go with your gut and say let’s try because that can make a difference.”

Talking about his performance in all three matches, Aakash Chopra said that he was happy that Mayank not only bowled in all the matches but he was also bowled with a brand new ball in the third T20I compared to the second and fourth T20Is. It was done, which was a good thing for him.
