The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 begins in UAE from October 3. The Indian women’s team will play its first match in the tournament against New Zealand on October 4. The women’s team has never won the T20 World Cup in the last 8 editions, the team reached the final of the 2020 edition but had to face defeat against Australia.
In the upcoming tournament, the Indian women’s team under the leadership of Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen performing brilliantly. Meanwhile, former Indian player and NCA chief VVS Laxman has said that the team has worked hard in the special camp at the NCA and is leaving no stone unturned to win the title.
The team focused on mental and physical aspects- VVS Laxman
NCA chief VVS Laxman had hosted the Indian women’s team’s preparations at the National Cricket Academy. Along with physical fitness, the players also participated in the sessions of sports psychologist Mugdha Bawre for mental training.

It was a productive camp and (women’s team head coach) Amol Majumdar had planned it in such a way that in the first phase of the camp he focused on the mental and physical aspects of the game. Then there was a break and when he came back, he focused on the skill and tactical aspect of the game. It was not limited to just the nets, but he also played five matches, where Amol created different situations, different challenges for the players.
