Shikhar Dhawan shared the video

Dhawan played his last match for India in the ODI format in December 2022, after which he was constantly out of the team. Announcing his retirement, Shikhar Dhawan posted a video on Instagram, with which he wrote, “I am ending this chapter of my cricket journey, I am taking with me countless memories and gratitude. Thank you for the love and support! Jai Hind!”

Dhawan is seen saying in the video, ‘Hello everyone! Today I am standing at such a point from where when I look back, I see only memories and when I look forward, I see a whole world. I always had only one goal, to play for Team India and that happened. For which I am thankful to many people. First of all my family…my childhood coach Tarak Sinha ji…Madan Sharma ji under whom I learned cricket.’

For Pakistan, Noman Ali took eight wickets in the second innings, while Sajid Khan took two wickets. However, except captain Ben Stokes, every batsman was a flop. Ben Stokes scored the highest score of 37 runs but players like Joe Root and Harry Brook could not contribute much. Nauman Ali took 8 wickets and Sajid Khan took 2 wickets in the second innings for Pakistan.
