So on the first day of the mega auction, 10 teams were seen spending huge money on players. A lot of money was showered on some players, while some big names remained unsold in this mega auction. On the other hand, in this mega auction, Indian team all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer has been included by three-time IPL champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by paying a huge amount of Rs 23.75 crore. Before this auction, no one expected that KKR would sign Venkatesh for such a huge amount. This was the biggest purchase by KKR on the first day of the auction. So, after Venkatesh Iyer was sold for a huge amount in this mega auction, former Indian player Sanjay Bangar was seen taking a dig. Bangar says that KKR has bought the wrong Iyer. The team has so far bought Venkatesh Iyer, Enrique Norkhia, Quinton De Kock, Angrish Raghuvanshi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Vaibhav Arora and Mayank Markande.
