However, the one thing that changed because of IPL was the schedule of the ODI World Cup. Due to which India’s first match in the World Cup was played on June 5 instead of June 2. Because as per the recommendation of Lodha Committee, BCCI was directed to maintain a mandatory gap of 15 days between the conclusion of IPL and India’s international match. IPL 2019 Recap: The name of Delhi team was changed
IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils changed the name of its team before the start of IPL 2019. The franchise had announced the change of team name in December 2018. The Delhi franchise changed the name of its team from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals and also launched a new logo according to that name.
IPL 2019: Jaydev Unadkat was the most expensive player in that season’s auction.
A total of Rs 106.8 crore was spent on 60 players in the auction held that season. Jaydev Unadkat and uncapped Varun Chakravarthy were the most expensive bowlers. Unadkat was bought for Rs 8.4 crore. Sam Curran was the most expensive player among the foreign players, he got Rs 7.2 crore.
Two bowlers took hat-trick in IPL 2019
In the 12th season of IPL, two bowlers took hat-tricks. Kings XI Punjab all-rounder Sam Curran, the most expensive foreign player in the 12th season, took a hat-trick against Delhi Capitals. He took 4 wickets for 11 runs in that match. Shreyas Gopal was the second bowler to take a hat-trick. He took three wickets against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In IPL 2019, David Warner scored 692 runs while playing only 12 matches. During this period his average was 69.20 and for that he got the Orange Cap. David Warner scored 8 half-centuries and one century during this period. However, one thing is also that he did not play all the matches for Hyderabad, if he had played all the matches, there could have been some change in his batting figures.
Chennai Super Kings leg spinner Imran Tahir was the highest wicket-taker in the 12th season of IPL. He played 17 matches for CSK that season, in which he took 26 wickets and that is why he got the Purple Cap.
IPL 2019: Which team became the champion?
The final of IPL 2019 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. In the final, Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bat first. Mumbai team could score only 149 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Chennai Super Kings opener Shane Watson played a strong innings in the final.
Watson scored 80 runs while chasing the target of 150 runs. But after his dismissal, Chennai’s innings faltered. Watson’s knee was injured and blood was visible around his knee and he continued to fight till the end. In the end, Mumbai team managed to win by one run and won the title for the fourth time.
