IPL 2024, SRH vs MI: The 8th match of IPL 2024 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and decided to bowl first. Sunrisers Hyderabad, batting first, put 277 runs on the board at the loss of 3 wickets, which is the highest total in IPL history. Chasing the target, Mumbai Indians could only score 246 runs at the loss of 5 wickets, and Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 31 runs.

SRH vs MI: Batsmen batted brilliantly

The pair of Mayank Agarwal and Travis Head gave a good start to Sunrisers Hyderabad. There was a partnership of 45 runs between the two batsmen for the first wicket. Mayank Agarwal was out against Hardik Pandya after scoring 11 runs in the fifth over. In the second over of the innings, Tim David missed the catch of Travis Head, which proved costly for Mumbai Indians.

Travis Head completed his first half-century in 18 balls. Then played an inning of 62 runs in 24 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Abhishek Sharma again played brilliantly and scored a half-century in 16 balls. Abhishek is the fastest batsman to score a half-century for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant inning of 63 runs in 23 balls with the help of 3 fours and 7 sixes.

Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen also showed their magic. Heinrich Klaasen played an unbeaten inning of 80 runs in 34 balls with the help of 4 fours and 7 sixes. Pat Cummins bowled brilliantly

SRH vs MI, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan had come with the intention of giving an aggressive start to the team, but the team got its first blow at the score of 56. Ishan Kishan lost his wicket against Shahbaz Ahmed in the fourth over after scoring 34 runs in 13 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes. After which Rohit Sharma lost his wicket against Pat Cummins in the very next over.

Tilak Verma was batting brilliantly, but was out against Pat Cummins in the 15th over. Tilak Verma played an inning of 64 runs in 34 balls with the help of 2 fours and 6 sixes.

Hardik Pandya scored 24 runs in 20 balls. Whereas Tim David played an unbeaten inning of 42 runs with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes in 22 balls. Chasing 278 runs, Mumbai Indians could only score 246 runs and Hyderabad registered a resounding win. For Hyderabad, captain Pat Cummins took 3 wickets for 35 runs in 4 overs. There were 2 wickets in the name of Jaydev Unadkat and 1 wicket in the name of Shahbaz Ahmed.
