Let us tell you that recently a case of fraud has come to light with a 28-year-old resident of Bengaluru. This fan has lost Rs 3 lakh for buying 3 tickets of RCB vs CSK match. If the reports of Times of India regarding the said issue are to be believed, then this fan found an Instagram account named ‘ipl_2024_tickets_24’, in which it was claimed to sell genuine match tickets.
For proof, this account holder also gave Aadhar card and mobile number to the person and described himself as an authorized IPL ticket seller. After this, the victim was asked to send Rs 2300 per ticket and he sent a total of Rs 7900 to this user named Padma Sinha Vijay Kumar.
After this the person said that match tickets would be sent to you through e-mail, but the ticket did not arrive. After this the fan was told that the money has not been received due to a technical glitch. After this the user continued giving money and when the amount reached Rs 67 thousand, he became suspicious and informed the police.
On the other hand, after this matter came to light, Bengaluru Police has appealed to the cricket fans to buy match tickets only from the official website. Also, the police have registered a case regarding the fraud with the fan and have started investigation.
