The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to start from March 22. All the teams have completed preparations for the tournament and cricket fans around the world are excited about it. Lucknow Super Giants will play its first match against Rajasthan Royals on March 24. Earlier, bad news has come for the team.

The team’s fast bowler David Willey will not be able to play in the first few matches of IPL 2024 due to personal reasons. Let us tell you that in the last two seasons, David Willey was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team. But in the IPL 2024 auction, LSG bought him for the base price of Rs 2 crore. However, now he will not be a part of the initial matches due to personal reasons.

Chief coach gave information

LSG’s new head coach Justin Langer revealed on Wednesday, March 20 that David Willey will not be available from the start of the tournament. England’s fast bowlers have been very busy in the last few months. He represented Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in the ILT20 and Multan Sultans in the PSL.

According to reports, Lucknow Super Giants have not included anyone as a replacement for Willey. However, he may join the team in the later stages of the tournament.

David Willey returned home after playing the PSL final on 18 March. Playing for Multan Sultans, he took 15 wickets at an average of 20.40 in 11 matches. Multan Sultans lost to Islamabad United in the title match.

‘Jasprit Bumrah is a joke’ – shocking statement of former English bowler after Perth Test

Bumrah took 8 wickets in both the innings of that Test match and for this he was chosen Player of the Match. In the match, India achieved a spectacular victory within four days and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. After seeing the brilliant bowling in that match, former England cricket team fast bowler Steven Finn has praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the first Test match against Australia. Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33). During this period, he has taken five wicket hauls 7 times, which is equal to Kapil Dev. They are followed by BS Chandrashekhar and Zaheer Khan (six each), and Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble (five each).
