Performing brilliantly before ICC tournaments has now become a habit for experienced wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik. Before the 2019 World Cup, while playing for KKR, he had scored 498 runs in the 2018 IPL and made it to the World Cup 2019.

So, by finishing amazing matches for RCB in the year 2022 IPL, he was successful in making a place in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup 2022. This season, he scored a total of 330 runs for RCB in the middle order at a stormy strike rate.

Scoring runs before ICC tournaments has become a habit for Karthik. So in the ongoing season of IPL also, he is seen doing something similar. For RCB, he has scored a total of 226 runs in the ongoing season at a strike rate of more than 200 and is the third highest run scorer for the team.

For RCB, he got the team out of trouble by batting brilliantly in some of the initial matches of IPL. Against CSK, he scored 38 runs in 26 balls, while against Punjab Kings he scored 28 runs in 10 balls in a explosive manner. So the first fifty of the season from Karthik’s bat came against Mumbai Indians. In this match, he played a brilliant inning of 53 runs in 23 balls.

So when Karthik came to bat in this match against Mumbai, he was seen being provoked by Indian captain Rohit Sharma. When Karthik came to the crease in the match, Rohit was heard saying on the stump mic – Well done DK, he has to be pushed for selection in the T20 World Cup, the World Cup is running in his mind.

So only a few days have passed since this conversation between Rohit and Karthik took place seriously and Karthik has given a strong reply to Rohit. Let us tell you that when there was a match between RCB and SRH yesterday, Karthik, while batting at number 5 in the match, hit a 109 meter long six off the ball of T Nazarjan. In this match, Karthik completed his half-century in 23 balls and played a stormy innings of 83 runs in 35 balls.
