IPL 2024: Even Riley Rousseau’s explosive half-century did not work, RCB kept its playoff hopes alive by winning the match in Dharamshala.


For RCB, Mohammad Siraj took three wickets for 43 runs in four overs while Swapnil Singh, Lockie Ferguson and Karn Sharma took two wickets each.

In a spectacular match of the Indian Premier League 2024 played today i.e. on 9th May, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by 60 runs at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala. In this match, all the players from RCB performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. Punjab Kings failed to show good performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In this important match, Royal Challengers Bangalore, batting first, scored 241 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, experienced batsman Virat Kohli played a stormy innings of 92 runs in 47 balls with the help of 7 fours and 6 sixes. Apart from Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar contributed 55 runs in 23 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes.

Both these batsmen did not spare any bowler of Punjab Kings and hit hard against everyone. Despite the fall of Rajat Patidar’s wicket, Virat Kohli handled one end very well and batted aggressively. Cameron Green contributed 46 runs. Dinesh Karthik played a stormy inning of 18 runs.

For Punjab Kings, Harshal Patel took three wickets for 38 runs in four overs. Young fast bowler Vidhwath Kaverappa took two wickets for 36 runs in four overs. Captain Sam Curran and Arshdeep Singh took one wicket each.

Punjab Kings, chasing the target, were all out for 181 runs in 17 overs. On behalf of the team, Riley Rousseau batted aggressively and scored 61 runs in 27 balls with the help of 9 fours and three sixes. Apart from Rousseau, Shashank Singh contributed 37 runs while captain Sam Curran played an inning of 22 runs. However, none of these players could lead their team to victory.

For RCB, Mohammad Siraj took three wickets for 43 runs in four overs while Swapnil Singh, Lockie Ferguson and Karn Sharma took two wickets each. RCB bowlers did not allow Punjab Kings batsmen to dominate them and that is why the team registered victory.

It is noteworthy that in the 21 T20 International matches played in the year 2024, the 30-year-old player has scored a total of 666 runs at a strike rate of 132.66. Under the captaincy of Babar, Pakistan had to be eliminated from the league stage in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. So now cricket fans have been seen venting their anger on Babar.
