Today i.e. on 21st April, in the best match of IPL 2024 played in Chandigarh, Gujarat Titans defeated Punjab Kings by 3 wickets. Punjab Kings batsmen failed to bat well in this match and due to this the host had to face defeat. The spinners of the Gujarat Titans team played an important role in their team’s victory by bowling brilliantly.

Let us tell you, the spinners took a total of 7 wickets in this match for Gujarat Titans. R Sai Kishore took four wickets for 33 runs in four overs while Noor Ahmed took two wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Rashid Khan also took one wicket. Gujarat’s spinners bowled very well in this match and they created pressure on the Punjab Kings batsmen.

This is the reason why Punjab Kings could not score big against Gujarat in this match and lost the match. On behalf of Punjab Kings, opener Prabhsimran Singh batted well and played a valuable inning of 35 runs with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes in 21 balls. Apart from Prabhsimran Singh, captain Sam Curran contributed 20 runs. Harpreet Brar batted very well and played an aggressive innings of 29 runs with the help of 4 fours and 1 six in 12 balls, while Harpreet Singh scored 14 runs.

Gujarat Titans batsmen also showed their strength

The start of Gujarat Titans chasing the target was not so good and wicketkeeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha was out on a personal score of 13 runs. However, after this, captain Shubman Gill batted very well and played an excellent inning of 35 runs in 29 balls with the help of five fours. Apart from captain Gill, Sai Sudarshan scored 31 runs. Both of them batted very well and scored important runs for Gujarat Titans.

In the end, Rahul Tewatia batted very well for Gujarat team and played the match-winning inning of 36* runs. Harshal Patel took 3 wickets for Punjab. While Arshdeep Singh and captain Sam Curran took 1 wicket each. Liam Livingstone took two wickets.
