IPL is starting from 22nd March
The 17th season of IPL is going to start from Friday 22nd March. Let us tell you that the first match of the upcoming tournament will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. On the other hand, all the teams are seen finalizing their preparations for this marquee tournament.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals, the champion of the debut season of IPL, has also fully geared up for this tournament. Let us tell you that the team had made it to the finals of IPL 2022, but Gujarat Titans defeated them and won the title. So this season, there are many players in the team who can end the team’s drought of not winning a trophy for 15 years. Among these few players is Indian cricket team’s opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Let us tell you that Jaiswal’s bat performed brilliantly in the Test series against England, and for this tremendous performance he was awarded the title of Player of the Tournament. On the other hand, now former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg seems quite confident about Jaiswal’s performance in IPL 2024. Hogg says that he is going to see the best from Jaiswal this season.
Brad Hogg is very confident about Jaiswal’s performance
Let us tell you that before the start of IPL, Brad Hogg was quoted by Times of India as saying – I was just assessing the RR (Rajasthan Royals) team, and I have seen only two shortcomings in their lineup. The team has been built with a strong top order. The way Jaiswal’s Test career has progressed has given him additional confidence. I think I am going to see his best in IPL 2024.
On the other hand, if we talk about Rajasthan Royals in the tournament, they will be seen playing their first match with Lucknow Super Giants on March 24. It will be interesting to see how the captaincy of RR Sanju Samson is going to perform in the upcoming season.
