Today i.e. on 7th April, in the match played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 29 runs. In this match, all the players from Mumbai Indians performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. Delhi team failed to leave its mark against Mumbai.

Batting first against Delhi, Mumbai Indians scored 234 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. For Mumbai, experienced opener Rohit Sharma batted brilliantly and played a stormy inning of 49 runs with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes in 27 balls. Apart from Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan contributed 42 runs.

Captain Hardik Pandya also batted very well and scored 39 runs in 33 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six. Not only this, Tim David also scored 45* runs in 21 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes.

For DC, Anrich Nortje took two wickets in four overs but gave a total of 65 runs. Akshar Patel took two wickets for 35 runs in four overs.

Delhi Capitals failed to register a win against Mumbai Indians

Delhi Capitals, while chasing the target, did not have such a good start and David Warner was out after scoring 10 runs. However, Prithvi Shaw batted very well for the Delhi team and played a valuable inning of 66 runs in 40 balls with the help of 8 fours and 3 sixes. However, Tristan Stubbs failed to lead his team to victory. Abhishek Porel contributed 41 runs. Delhi Capitals scored 205 runs losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. For Mumbai Indians, Gerald Coetzee took four wickets for 34 runs in four overs while Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets for 22 runs in four overs.
