Today i.e. on 18th April, a great match of Indian Premier League 2024 will be played between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians in Chandigarh. However, before the start of this match, famous commentator Aakash Chopra has appealed to Punjab Kings that they should include Riley Rousseau in the playing XI in place of Jonny Bairstow in the match against Mumbai.

Let us tell you, Punjab Kings have played six matches so far in IPL 2024, out of which they have won two while the team has lost in four. With four points, Punjab Kings are at eighth position in the points table of IPL 2024. It is very important for the team to win the match against Mumbai Indians. Talking about Jonny Bairstow, he has performed very disappointingly in IPL 2024 so far. He has scored only 96 runs in 6 innings this season at an average of 16.

While sharing the video on his official YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, ‘If Shikhar Dhawan is not available then I would like to say that Bairstow should also give Tata Bye-Bye to the team. You are scoring less runs from balls in every match. I don’t understand this at all. Punjab team will have to think differently. He will have to include Riley Rousseau in the playing XI in this match. He is sitting out and should be included in the team in place of Bairstow.

If Shikhar Dhawan is not available then you should get the opening from Prabhsimran Singh or Atharv Taide. At the end of the auction, Rousseau was bought by Punjab at a very expensive price and it was he who batted explosively against Punjab Kings in Dharamshala. My first player in this match is Riley Rousseau.

Aakash Chopra presented his side regarding Liam Livingstone

Aakash Chopra further said, ‘My second player is Liam Livingstone. As far as I remember, he was sent to bat at number 7 in the last match. I don’t know at all what is the story behind this. He should come up and bat a little. The attack of the opposing team is not that good and Liam Livingstone can score runs against them.

As the third player, I would like to see Shashank Singh who has batted very well so far this season. Shashank Singh has strength and is also in great form. He should also bat a little higher.

Bumrah took 8 wickets in both the innings of that Test match and for this he was chosen Player of the Match. In the match, India achieved a spectacular victory within four days and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. After seeing the brilliant bowling in that match, former England cricket team fast bowler Steven Finn has praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the first Test match against Australia. Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33). During this period, he has taken five wicket hauls 7 times, which is equal to Kapil Dev. They are followed by BS Chandrashekhar and Zaheer Khan (six each), and Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble (five each).
