IPL 2024: If GT has to win against CSK then Gill will have to play long and excellent innings: Aakash Chopra


The important match of the Indian Premier League 2024 is to be played today i.e. on 26th March between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Former player Aakash Chopra believes that in the Indian Premier League 2024 match against Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans would like Shubman Gill to bat well and score important runs for his team. Let us tell you, the important match of Indian Premier League 2024 is to be played today i.e. on 26th March between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Both the teams won their first match of the Indian Premier League 2024. While on one hand Chennai Super Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first match of the Indian Premier League 2014, on the other hand Gujarat Titans registered a win against Mumbai Indians.

Aakash Chopra shared a video on his official YouTube channel in which he said, ‘Once again I am going with the captain. Both Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shubman Gill are very young players. Both started with wins so I am going with Shubman Gill. Like Ruturaj, Gill was also batting very well in the first match but he played a wrong shot against Piyush Chawla and was out.

You have to expect good batting from a batsman like Shubman Gill on this pitch if Gujarat has to win this match. The captain of Gujarat Titans will also have to perform well this season and bat with patience. This team has not yet started batting aggressively even though they have an extra batsman. Other teams have started this thing but not in Gujarat.

Aakash Chopra further said, ‘My second player is Rashid Khan. I would like to see whether Noor Ahmed plays with Rashid or not. You can play Noor Ahmed in place of Spencer Johnson. This is also because spinners will be more important on the Chennai pitch. The bowling lineup of the team is very good but Rashid Khan will now have to take wickets. He is the king of the jungle and everyone knows this very well.

For Ashish Nehra, the former player said, ‘Ultimately my focus will be on Ashish Nehra. Gujarat has won many close matches and the main reason behind this is Ashish Nehra who has taught the team to live together. He knows how to get the best performance from ordinary players. The Kangaroo team bowled lethally and restricted India to just 150 runs in the first innings. After this, the Indian fast bowlers made the hosts the stars of the day with their brilliant game. By the end of the first day, Australia scored only 67 runs at the loss of 7 wickets, trailing by 83 runs. During the first day’s play, there was a heated argument between Mohammed Siraj and Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne, the video of which is going viral on social media. For this reason Mohammed Siraj got angry at Marnus Labuschagne During the 13th over of Australia’s first innings, Mohammed Siraj bowled a short-pitched ball which bounced backwards and hit the thigh-pad of Marnus Labuschagne. Siraj ran after seeing the ball going near the stump. As soon as Siraj came close to the ball, Labuschagne hit the ball with his bat and the ball went away. Siraj became furious at this action of Labuschagne and was seen talking to Labuschagne. Virat Kohli then expressed his anger by asking for the ball from the fielder and blew the wickets.
