IPL is starting from 22nd March
The much-awaited 17th season of IPL is starting from March 22. It is noteworthy that the first match of the upcoming IPL season will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. This match between the two teams is going to be held at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
However, before the start of this match, a very good news is coming for IPL cricket fans. Let us tell you that on the lines of 2015, BCCI is going to open more than 50 fan parks across the country for the upcoming season.
In these fan parks, cricket fans will be able to enjoy IPL matches on a big screen. Apart from watching the match, there will be complete arrangements for the fans to do food stalls and many other fun activities.
Fan parks will open in these states
Let us tell you that due to the Lok Sabha elections, only 21 IPL matches have been announced this season. Due to this, BCCI is going to open 15 fan parks between March 22 and April 7 in the first two weeks of IPL. After this the number of these fan parks is expected to be increased. Among these 15 fan parks, the cities of Nagpur, Bikaner, Madurai, Solapur, Medinapur are prominent.
However, the number of these fan parks is expected to increase after the remaining IPL schedule. Also, let us tell you that this time these fan parks will be seen in 11 states of the country. These states include the names of UP, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Karnataka, Jharkhand, Punjab and Telangana.
There are going to be five matches in the first week of IPL, so accordingly, 5 fan parks will be opened for fans in the first week. So after this, as the tournament progresses, fan parks will be opened in different cities for cricket fans.
