Actually, cricket fans were expecting that there would be tension between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli during the RCB vs KKR match, but Delhi cricketers dashed everyone’s expectations and made up.

Gautam Gambhir shook hands with Virat Kohli

Let us tell you, during the IPL last year, when Gautam Gambhir was the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), he had a fight with Virat Kohli during the match against RCB, the reason for which was Naveen-ul-Haq. After which this issue dragged on for a long time, due to which the match was being seen as Gambhir vs Kohli.

But during a strategic timeout of RCB’s innings in Bengaluru, Gautam Gambhir shook hands with Virat Kohli and they also hugged, which left everyone speechless. On which now Irfan Pathan, who has played with both Gambhir and Kohli, has shared his opinion.

Gautam Gambhir really came forward: Irfan Pathan

Irfan Pathan said on Star Sports, “Gautam Gambhir, the senior guy, really came forward. Sometimes you cross the line, but as soon as that point is passed, when you meet in the future, when you meet now, you meet well. That’s what we saw today.”

Let us tell you, Kolkata defeated Bengaluru by seven wickets in this match, which was RCB’s second defeat in the ongoing IPL 2024.

On this statement of Ponting, the current head coach of the Indian team and former opener Gautam Gambhir had said that he should stop worrying about Kohli’s form and focus on the Australian team. On the other hand, Gambhir has now got the support of former Indian captain and Sourav Ganguly, popularly known as Dada, on this statement. Ganguly says that there is nothing wrong in whatever Gambhir said. Sourav Ganguly defended Gautam Gambhir’s statement Let us tell you that in a recent discussion with Revzsports, Ganguly said – I would just say that let him be. I saw some criticism on what he said in the press conference. He (Gambhir) is like that, let him remain like that. When he won the IPL, it was just like that, you were rooting for him. Just because he has lost three Test matches and one ODI series, the straight thing has not been viewed well. But that’s just the way it is. Ganguly further said- Ever since I have watched cricket, Australians have been difficult for you. He has played his cricket like this, be it (Steve) Waugh, Ponting or (Matthew) Hayden. Therefore, there is nothing wrong in what Gambhir has said. That’s just the way he is, and he fights, he competes. So let’s give him a chance. He has been in coaching only for two-three months and you are passing judgment on him.
