The spectacular match of the Indian Premier League 2024 was played on 7 April between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In this match, Lucknow Super Giants won by 33 runs. Lucknow team, batting first against Gujarat, had scored 163 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs, in response to which captain Shubman Gill’s team was all out for 130 runs.

In this match, Lucknow team’s young spinner Ravi Bishnoi took a very good catch of Kane Williamson in his own bowling, which left many people surprised. Regarding this catch of Ravi Bishnoi, Lucknow Super Giants fielding coach Jonty Rhodes praised the young spinner. Jonty Rhodes is counted among the best fielders in the world.

IPL has shared a video on its official social media account in which Jonty Rhodes said, ‘A player like Ravi Bishnoi makes me tired and does not miss even a day of practice. If we are on the ground, Ravi takes catches every day. Ravi practices a lot in his bowling but not at all in his batting and when it comes to fielding, he is never seen sitting in the dugout.

Regarding this catch, Ravi Bishnoi said, ‘I did not understand at all, I was just reacting to the ball. My momentum was going towards the site but I thought I should go the other way to catch the catch. I did the same and completed the catch.

Jonty Rhodes further said, ‘When you are bowling, you have to react like this. The best thing that happened to him was that he went back and gave himself time. When you are watching the ball you have to go with a hard hand. He reacted even before a second and that was a very good thing.
