Nicholas Pooran is captaining LSG today in place of KL Rahul against Punjab Kings. Nicholas Pooran has won the toss and decided to bat first. KL Rahul entered the field today as an impact player, but failed to play an impactful innings.

KL Rahul lost his wicket against Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep Singh was bowling the fourth over of Lucknow Super Giants’ innings. KL Rahul had scored 12 runs in the first four balls of the over, which included a six and a four. Then KL Rahul lost his wicket on the fifth ball.

KL Rahul tried to play a pickup shot. But Jonny Bairstow, posted at backward point, took a brilliant catch and showed KL Rahul the way to the pavilion. KL Rahul was able to score only 15 runs in 9 balls, and Lucknow Super Giants got the first blow at the score of 35.

Nicholas Pooran had told during the toss that KL Rahul is returning from injury, and the management wants to give him a break in the long tournament. Due to which today KL Rahul is not captaining, and is playing as an impact player.

Devdutt Padikkal also returned to the pavilion cheaply

After the wicket of KL Rahul, Devdutt Padikkal lost his wicket against Sam Curran in the sixth over. Devdutt Padikkal returned to the pavilion on a duck in the last match. Today against Punjab Kings he could score only 9 runs in 6 balls. Till the time of writing the news, Lucknow Super Giants have scored 95 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 11 overs.
