Apart from his match-winning innings, Virat Kohli also performed brilliantly in the field for RCB, taking two catches in this match. He first ran from cover to mid-off to take the catch of Jonny Bairstow and then took a simple catch of Shikhar Dhawan at long-off.

With this, Kohli has now become the Indian with the most catches in T-20 cricket history. The former Indian captain has now taken 174 catches in 375 T20 matches and has overtaken Suresh Raina, who took 172 catches during his career.

2) Anuj Rawat is now the Indian wicketkeeper with joint most catches in an IPL innings

While Virat Kohli took two catches in the outfield, Anuj Rawat took the maximum number of catches in the match. 24-year-old Anuj Rawat, who is seen doing wicketkeeping in IPL 2024, performed brilliantly on Monday, taking four catches.

By taking these 4 catches, Rawat has become the Indian wicketkeeper with the most catches in an IPL innings. He joins MS Dhoni, Naman Ojha, Wriddhiman Saha, Parthiv Patel and teammate Dinesh Karthik in the list who have taken four catches in an IPL innings once.

Yesterday’s match was a memorable match for Virat Kohli in many ways. He made many records in his name by playing an inning of 77 runs in this match. Kohli’s inning of 77 not only helped RCB reach the target, but he also became the first Indian to score 50-plus 100 times in T20 cricket.

Playing his 361st T20 innings, Kohli now has 12,092 runs to his name. During this period he has scored eight centuries and 92 half-centuries. 35-year-old Virat is only the third player to achieve this feat. Before Kohli, this special record was in the name of Chris Gayle (110) and David Warner (109).
