IPL 2024: Chennai Super Kings’ star fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana is out of the season due to hamstring injury. The young fast bowler has played a big role in the team’s victory in many matches by showing excellent performance this season. CSK has shared a video on social media, in which Pathirana emotionally said goodbye to the team. He also told about what he learned in the CSK camp this season.

Mathisha Pathirana told that this season has been great for her, she has learned a lot of things not only from the coaching staff but also from Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Speaking on the video shared by CSK, Pathirana said, ‘It was a really good season for me. I played 6 matches and took 13 wickets, I think I bowled really well and also won a man of the match award.

Pathirana has taken 13 wickets in 6 matches this season at an economy of 7.68. He further said, ‘I have to learn a lot of things from everywhere. So, this season also, I learned a lot of things from the coaching staff and not only the coaching staff, seniors like Mahi Bhai, all of them.

I love this franchise – Pathirana

Describing CSK as a part of his life, Mathisha Pathirana said that it is difficult for him to leave the team in this way. ,It is difficult to leave such a franchise so soon because CSK is a part of my life now. I love this franchise so much, so this is very difficult but I hope to see you next year too, let’s see. I got a lot of love from my fans, CSK fans, so I really want to give that love back to them. Really, I like these kind of fans and they keep supporting the team and me too.

Chennai Super Kings is at third place in the points table with 12 points. The team will play its next match against Gujarat Titans on May 10 in Ahmedabad.
