They had scored 287 runs by losing three wickets in 20 overs, in response to which RCB could only score 262 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 25 runs. Faf du Plessis was quite surprised by the fact that a lot of runs were scored in the match played against Hyderabad and he also agreed that the team failed to play as per the plan he had made during the practice session.

The captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore further said, ‘There is nothing to hide in this, when your confidence is down then cricket becomes very difficult. Fast bowlers face a lot of trouble here. We need to do something similar in batting also. There are some places where we have to work. We also have to keep in mind that the run rate does not go up too much after the powerplay.
