Ravi Shastri also advised Hardik Pandya to remain calm and respond with his performance.

Ravi Shastri gave advice to Rohit Sharma

Ravi Shastri said, “This is not an Indian team playing, this is franchise cricket. He has spent a lot of money. They are the owners of the team and it is their right to appoint the captain. In my opinion, if If the Mumbai team had kept clarity in its communication, the matter could have been handled in a better way.

Shastri further said, ‘If you wanted to make Hardik Pandya the captain then you should have said that we are taking this decision keeping the future in mind. Rohit Sharma has played an excellent role as a captain and we all know this. We want Rohit to help Hardik in taking the team forward successfully for the next three years.

Ravi Shastri said this on Mumbai Indians’ 3 consecutive defeats

The team captained by Hardik has not got a single win yet. Shastri said on this, ‘My advice to Hardik would be to stay calm, be patient, ignore everything and just concentrate on his game. Mumbai Indians is a great team and if they find their rhythm, they can win three-four matches in a row and then this discussion will stop automatically.

Mumbai Indians’ next match will be against Delhi Capitals on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium. It remains to be seen how Hardik responds to the criticism.
