Pant will return to the field through IPL after 15 months and hence this season is very important for him. If he performs well this season, he may get a place in the Indian team for the 2024 T20 World Cup. All eyes will be on him during his return. Everyone would like to see how he performs on his return.
Uthappa believes that Pant should not rush the process of returning to the national team. Robin Uthappa was quoted as saying by Inside Sports that, “As far as Rishabh Pant is concerned, it all depends on his fitness and how he recovers from the tough one and a half year he has had.
I think, we should send all those energies to him so that he can recover and come back and perform at his best. It’s good to see that he is back in the nets, he is hitting the ball well, practicing center wicketkeeping. “He should not rush this process.”
He further said, “It is tough to be out of the game for so long, especially when you are super competitive and you want to perform and win matches. But sometimes when you rush the process you do more damage and cause more frustration. I really hope he takes his time in coming back and performs well when he does.”
