Today i.e. on 20th April, in a spectacular match of the Indian Premier League 2024 played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Capitals by 67 runs. In this match, all the players from Sunrisers Hyderabad performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. The performance of Delhi team was quite disappointing against Hyderabad.

Sunrisers Hyderabad once again batted very well in this tournament and scored 266 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, the brilliant opener Travis Head batted explosively and played an aggressive inning of 89 runs with the help of 11 fours and 6 sixes in 32 balls. He did not spare any Delhi bowler and hit hard against all of them.

However, in the middle overs, the Delhi Capitals bowlers made a good comeback in the match and started putting pressure on Sunrisers. In such a situation, Shahbaz Ahmed handled one end very well and played an important inning of 59* runs in 29 balls with the help of 2 fours and 5 sixes. He also made a partnership of 67 runs for the fifth wicket with Nitish Reddy.

Due to this batting of Shahbaz Ahmed, Sunrisers Hyderabad was able to reach the score of 267 runs. If Shahbaz Ahmed had not played this unbeaten half-century, Delhi would have put complete pressure on Sunrisers Hyderabad in this match.

Jake Fraser-McGurk’s stormy innings did not work

Delhi team, chasing the target, was all out for 199 runs. On behalf of the team, young batsman Jack Fraser McGurk played an aggressive inning of 65 runs in 18 balls with the help of 5 fours and 7 sixes but he failed to lead his team to victory. Captain Rishabh Pant contributed 44 runs while Abhishek Porel scored 42 runs. Prithvi Shaw returned to the pavilion after scoring 16 runs.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, T Natarajan took four wickets for 19 runs in four overs while Mayank Markande and Nitish Reddy took two wickets each. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Washington Sundar took one wicket each. Sunrisers Hyderabad won another great match.
