Under this change, there will be a minimum of three Tests in each World Test Championship (WTC) series and in ODIs, two balls will be used for the first 25 overs and then the remaining 25 overs will be bowled with a single ball. The ICC board meeting was held in Dubai, in which women’s cricket was also discussed. If TOI report is to be believed, ICC’s Cricket Committee has received many suggestions in the board meeting. The source said, “The ICC committee believes that more people come to the stadium because of the Test matches played with the pink ball. Recently the viewership in Pakistan has been very low. More tickets than usual were sold in the 3 pink ball test matches played in India. Test playing countries should be encouraged to play more pink ball Test matches.”
