Today i.e. on 5th May, in an excellent match played at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 98 runs. In this match, all the players of Kolkata Knight Riders performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. Lucknow Super Giants players failed to show good performance against Kolkata.
Let us tell you, Kolkata, batting first against Lucknow, scored 235 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. On behalf of the team, Sunil Narayan, batting aggressively, played a stormy innings of 81 runs in 39 balls with the help of 6 fours and 7 sixes. Sunil Narayan did not spare any Lucknow bowler and hit hard against all of them.
Apart from Sunil Narayan, Phil Salt also batted very well and played an explosive inning of 32 runs. Apart from these two batsmen, Ramandeep Singh made an important contribution of 25* runs in six balls with the help of one four and three sixes. Young batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi played an inning of 32 runs while captain Shreyas Iyer scored 23 runs.
For Lucknow Super Giants, Naveen Ul Haq took three wickets for 49 runs in four overs while Yash Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket each. Yudhveer Singh Charak also took one wicket.

Wickets kept falling at regular intervals for Lucknow team while chasing the target. For the hosts, Marcus Stoinis scored 36 runs in 31 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes while KL Rahul contributed 25 runs. Nicholas Pooran was out on a personal score of 10 runs while Ayush Badoni contributed 15 runs.
Sunil Narayan also performed well with bowling and took one wicket for 22 runs in four overs. Varun Chakraborty and Harshit Rana took three wickets each while Andre Russell took two wickets. Kolkata team won this match by 98 runs.
