In the 17th match of IPL 2024, Punjab Kings registered a thrilling win by 3 wickets against Gujarat Titans. The explosive innings of Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma played an important role in helping Punjab reach the target of 200. Shashank Singh scored unbeaten 61 runs and Ashutosh scored 31 runs. Earlier, thanks to Shubman Gill’s 89 runs, Gujarat Titans had scored 199 runs. With this victory, Punjab Kings team has reached fifth position in the points table with 4 points.

After losing the toss and batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 199 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Punjab Kings team, chasing the target, won the match by scoring 200 runs for 7 wickets in 19.5 overs. After the early dismissal of captain Shikhar Dhawan (1), Jonny Bairstow and Prabhsimran Singh tried to handle the innings. But Bairstow, who was looking in good form, became the victim of Noor Ahmed on a personal score of 22 runs in the last over of the powerplay.

After this, Noor Ahmed also showed Prabhasimran (35) the way to the pavilion. Sam Curran (5) and Sikandar Raza (15) could not do anything special. However, Shashank Singh showed the power of his bat and played a strong innings for Punjab. Ashutosh Sharma, who came as an impact player, supported him fully and scored runs rapidly.
