In the 28th match of IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets at their home ground. Batting first, Lucknow set a target of 162 runs for KKR. Which Kolkata achieved by losing 2 wickets with the help of Philip Salt’s explosive innings. Salt played an unbeaten inning of 89 runs in 47 balls. With this victory, Kolkata team has reached second place in the points table with 8 points.

Earlier in the match, Lucknow Super Giants, batting first, scored 161 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Nicholas Puran played the highest innings of 45 runs in 32 balls for the team. Apart from this, captain KL Rahul scored 39 runs. Ayush Badoni contributed 29 runs.

Mohsin Khan was the most successful bowler for Lucknow, taking 2 wickets for 29 runs in four overs.
