The 54th match of IPL 2024 was played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Kolkata won this match by 98 runs. Batting first in the match, KKR scored 235 runs in 20 overs. In reply, Lucknow team was reduced to 137 runs in 16.1 overs.

Sunil Narayan played a stormy innings for KKR.

Sunil Narayan, who came to bat first for the KKR team, batted aggressively and played a stormy innings of 81 runs with the help of 6 fours and 7 sixes in 39 balls. Sunil Narayan did not spare any Lucknow bowler and played aggressive shots against everyone. Apart from Narayan, Phil Salt also batted very well and played an explosive inning of 32 runs.

Apart from these two batsmen, in the end Ramandeep Singh made an important contribution of 25* runs in six balls with the help of one four and three sixes. Young batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi played an inning of 32 runs while captain Shreyas Iyer scored 23 runs. For Lucknow, Naveen Ul Haq took three wickets for 49 runs in four overs while Yash Thakur and Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket each. Yudhveer Singh Charak also took one wicket.

LSG batsmen flopped

Lucknow, while chasing the target, lost wickets at regular intervals. For the hosts, Marcus Stoinis scored 36 runs in 31 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes while KL Rahul contributed 25 runs. Nicholas Pooran was out on a personal score of 10 runs while Ayush Badoni contributed 15 runs.

Sunil Narayan also performed well with bowling and took one wicket for 22 runs in four overs. Varun Chakraborty and Harshit Rana took three wickets each while Andre Russell took two wickets. In the end, Kolkata team won the match by 98 runs.

‘Jasprit Bumrah is a joke’ – shocking statement of former English bowler after Perth Test

Bumrah took 8 wickets in both the innings of that Test match and for this he was chosen Player of the Match. In the match, India achieved a spectacular victory within four days and took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series. After seeing the brilliant bowling in that match, former England cricket team fast bowler Steven Finn has praised Jasprit Bumrah’s performance in the first Test match against Australia. Finn praised him a lot and even said that he is the best player in the world. Speaking with former England captain Alastair Cook on TNT Sports, Steven Finn said, “Jaiswal scored a brilliant 161, but he is the player I like to watch. That is Jasprit Bumrah. I think he really is the best player in the world. Honestly, sometimes I think bowling like him is a joke! You see him bowling and you just think, I’m glad I don’t have to come out to bat.” He further said, “I was surprised that India went there (Australia) and defeated Australia, where usually it is very difficult to go and play cricket. Perth, I know it’s not the WACA; I know it’s a new stadium, but still, historically, Australia hasn’t lost many matches there. I thought India performed very bravely there.” Let us tell you that, Bumrah now has 118 wickets in 27 Test matches in SENA countries at an impressive average of 22.55, which also includes his career best performance (6/33). During this period, he has taken five wicket hauls 7 times, which is equal to Kapil Dev. They are followed by BS Chandrashekhar and Zaheer Khan (six each), and Bishan Singh Bedi and Anil Kumble (five each).
