Today the 8th match in IPL 2024 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. In this high scoring match, Hyderabad won by 31 runs. Batting first, SRH scored 277 runs in 20 overs thanks to the brilliant innings of Heinrich Klaasen (80*), Abhishek Sharma (63) and Travis Head (62). In response, MI team could score only 246 runs in the stipulated overs.

SRH made the biggest score in IPL history

Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad team demonstrated amazing batting. SRH made the highest score in IPL history. Thanks to the explosive batting of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen, they scored 277 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs.

Where Klaasen scored unbeaten 80 runs in 34 balls with the help of 4 fours and 7 sixes. Whereas Travis Head scored 62 runs in 24 balls, which included 9 fours and 3 sixes. Apart from this, Abhishek Sharma played an inning of 63 runs in 23 balls. In this innings he hit 3 fours and 7 sixes. Whereas Markram scored 42 runs in 28 balls.

Mumbai bowlers proved to be very expensive today. Except Jasprit Bumrah, every bowler scored runs at an average of more than 11.

Lost by 31 runs

Mumbai Indians, who came to chase the huge target of 278 runs, gave a befitting reply, but could only score 246 runs for 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan created a ruckus against the Hyderabad bowlers and scored 50 runs in just 3 overs. However, after adding 56 runs, both the batsmen returned to the pavilion. While Rohit scored 26 runs in 12 balls, Ishan scored 34 runs in 13 balls. Naman Dheer contributed 30 runs.

Tilak Verma was the only batsman who scored a half-century. He kept Mumbai in the match with his explosive batting. He was out in the 15th over after scoring 64 runs in 34 balls. Which included 2 fours and 6 sixes. Tim David tried his best to take the team to the target, but failed to do so. He returned unbeaten after scoring 42 runs in 22 balls, which included two fours and three sixes.

Captain Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat took 2-2 wickets for Hyderabad.
