In the fourth match of IPL 2024, Rajasthan Royals won against Lucknow Super Giants by 20 runs. Chasing the target of 194 runs, LSG team could score only 173 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain KL Rahul scored 58 runs and Nicholas Pooran scored unbeaten 64* runs, but could not lead the team to victory.

Rahul-Puran’s half-century innings went in vain

Chasing the target of 194 runs, Lucknow Super Giants had a very bad start and lost 3 wickets at the score of just 11 runs. However, KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda handled the innings. But, Hooda was out after scoring 26 runs in 13 balls.

KL Rahul remained firm and along with Nicholas Pooran tried to take the team closer to victory, but was out after playing an inning of 58 runs. Hit 4 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. After the captain’s dismissal, Nicholas Pooran tried to lead the team to victory, but failed.

He returned unbeaten after scoring 64 runs. During this, he hit 4 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. LSG could score only 173 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and lost the match by 20 runs.
