The spectacular match of the Indian Premier League 2024 was played on 7 April between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In this match, Lucknow Super Giants won by 33 runs. Lucknow team, batting first against Gujarat, had scored 163 runs losing five wickets in 20 overs, in response to which captain Shubman Gill’s team was all out for 130 runs.

The batsmen of Gujarat team batted very disappointingly against Lucknow. Let us tell you, Gujarat Titans had made a very good start in this match but wickets kept falling at regular intervals due to which the team had to face defeat. After the match was over, Gujarat team captain Shubman Gill said that they lost the match because of their batsmen.

According to NDTV, Shubman Gill said, ‘It was a very good wicket to bat on but we batted very poorly. We got a good start but lost wickets in the middle overs. Our bowlers bowled very well and restricted the Lucknow team to 163 runs but our batsmen performed very disappointingly.

Shubman Gill praised David Miller fiercely

Due to injury, explosive batsman David Miller could not play for Gujarat team in the match against Lucknow. Shubman Gill also believes that he is missing David Miller a lot. According to Gill, David Miller is such a batsman who can completely change the course of the match by batting aggressively in just two overs.

Gill further said, ‘Miller is such a player who can completely change the course of the match in two overs. I think we could have easily achieved this target. What I would like to say on my wicket is that this was the last over of the powerplay and I wanted to make it big. I missed the ball and I had to lose my wicket. I am very happy with the performance of our bowlers. It was great to see that we had stopped them between 160-165.
