The 17th match of IPL 2024 is being played between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.

GT vs PBKS: The 17th match of the 17th season of IPL is being played today on 4th April between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings (GT vs PBKS) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Punjab won the toss and decided to bat first.

So, batting first in the match, Gujarat Titans (GT), thanks to the captaincy innings of Shubman Gill, was successful in scoring 199 runs at the loss of 4 wickets against Punjab Kings. On the other hand, fans are seen giving tremendous reaction to this innings of Gill through social media. Talking about Gill’s innings in the match, he has played a brilliant inning of 89 runs in 48 balls. During this innings, Gill hit 6 fours and 4 sixes.

Gujarat set a target of 200 runs for Punjab to win.

Talking about the match, after winning the toss, Gujarat invited Punjab to bat first. So Gujarat, batting first, scored 199 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. In the end, all-rounder Rahul Tewatia played a stormy innings of 23* runs in 8 balls with the help of 3 fours and 1 six, due to which Gujarat has managed to set a strong target for victory in front of Punjab.

However, before this, Gujarat’s start in the match was not anything special. The team lost the wicket of opener Wriddhiman Saha (11) on a total score of 29 runs. But Shubman Gill returned unbeaten due to which GT was successful in reaching this target.

Apart from Gill, Kane Williamson played brilliant innings of 26 runs and Sai Sudarshan played 33 runs for Gujarat. So if we talk about Punjab’s bowling, Kagiso Rabada got 2 wickets and Harpreet, Brar and Harshal Patel got 1 wicket each.
