IPL 2024: BCCI ban these colors on IPL jerseys? , Indian Premier League (IPL) team Punjab Kings (PBKS) unveiled their jersey for the upcoming IPL 2024 at Elante Mall, Chandigarh on Saturday, March 16. Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma and co-owner Preity Zinta were also present during the program. This time Preity Zinta has made a big revelation regarding the color of the jerseys of IPL franchises.

At the event, Preity Zinta gave her reaction on the jerseys for the upcoming season and revealed about Punjab’s old jersey from 2009-2013, which had a red and brown color combination. Preity Zinta revealed that BCCI has banned colors like white, gray and silver. Because they look like the color of the ball. Hence, the franchise had to change its favorite colors and now they are seen all in red.

Shikhar Dhawan said at the PBKS new jersey launch event, “The new jersey has new details and every day is a new day, and you come up with new ideas. We always hope for a positive atmosphere before the tournament. The new stadium will be our lucky charm. We are trying to think positive. We are very grateful to Mohali. We thank Mohali Stadium and its groundsmen.”

Preity Zinta revealed about the color of IPL jerseys

Preity Zinta said, “Earlier we had the combination of red, grey, and silver, but later BCCI banned silver, gray and white due to ball visibility problem. So, we went ahead with red and this year we have the best combination of red.”

Punjab Kings will start their campaign in IPL 2024 on March 23. Shikhar Dhawan along with his players will face Delhi Capitals at their home ground Mohali. Rishabh Pant’s army will be standing in front of them and it will be interesting to see how Gabbar’s army faces them.
