Sunil Gavaskar speaks about Virat Kohli playing in IPL
Sunil Gavaskar reacted to Virat Kohli not playing in this series during a conversation at an event at the Indian Institute of Management in Ranchi. According to Times of India, he said, “Will Virat Kohli play? He is not playing for some regions. Maybe he might not even play in the IPL.”
Sunil Gavaskar said about wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel that Dhruv, the extraordinary player of this IPL season, has a chance to prove himself. Jurel, playing his second Test match, made an important contribution of 90 runs and 39 not out in India winning the series against England, after which he was given the Man of the Match award.
Gavaskar said, “He can be promoted higher in the batting order. After this performance in test matches, Jurel can be a superstar. Even Akash Deep may get more experience at RCB and play the role of death over specialist, which he missed last season.
