On 31 October, Kolkata Knight Riders revealed their retained players for the upcoming season. Kolkata Knight Riders first included Rinku Singh in the retention list for Rs 13 crore. After this, Varun Chakraborty, Andre Russell and Sunil Narayan were retained for Rs 12 crore each. Among the uncapped players, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh were signed for Rs 4 crore.

Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore shared a video on KKR’s official YouTube channel in which he said that the franchise had to retain 10 to 11 players and it was not easy for anyone to select 6 players. Apart from this, he praised all the retained players.

Venky Mysore said, ‘We wanted to retain 10 or 11 players because everyone’s performance has been excellent. It was very difficult for everyone to choose 6 of these because the players have won the hearts of all the fans by performing tremendously for the Kolkata team. Sunil Narayan has been with us for 12 years and Andre Russell has also been with the team for 10 years.

Varun Chakraborty has also performed well for Kolkata Knight Riders for a long time and everyone knows about Rinku Singh very well. Harshit Rana has also bowled brilliantly for the team for 3 years and Ramandeep Singh has left his mark after joining the team last year. I think this is the best combination.
